Joao Felix’s agent Jorge Mendes still has a lot of work to do in securing a deal for the Portuguese forward to join Chelsea this summer. After Atletico Madrid rejected an initial bid worth a combined €70m from the Blues, UFABET reports on Tuesday.
Atletico Madrid have been trying to offload Joao Felix for a long time and now the club have a chance of doing so. With Chelsea showing interest in the 24-year-old forward and in talks over a deal with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

Joao Felix joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in the summer of 2019 for a club-record fee of €127 million. The Portuguese forward still has five years left on his contract and Atletico are hoping to ask for €60-70 million for the player to leave.
Felix is keen to leave Atletico after falling out with boss Diego Simeone, spending last season at Barcelona. But returning to Madrid for pre-season training where he has even been booed by his own supporters.
Now the Portuguese forward who previously scored four goals in 20 games for Chelsea in the 2022/23 season is angling for a move back to England as the Blues embark on a first Premier League campaign under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The player’s agent, Mendes, is currently remaining in the UK as he deals with various clubs attempting to wrangle transfers for a number of top players he represents.
Chelsea are holding continued discussions with Mendes while also trying to find an agreement on a suitable fee. With Atletico Madrid for the 24-year-old who played a bit-part role in Portugal’s recent Euro 2024 journey.
Felix became the fourth-most expensive player in history in July 2019 when Benfica sold him to Atletico for £114m. But ยูฟ่าเบท are unlikely to recover anywhere close to the huge sum.
Atletico had previously tried to offer Felix to Man City as part of the deal to bring Julian Alvarez to the Spanish capital. While Aston Villa were also interest in pursuing the talent.
